So sorry

I was so shocked to hear of Mel's accident.

He was such a good Landlord and we always had friendly chats.

I would like to pass on my condolences to his Wife and children and also to his brother Mal at the shop.

God Bless.

I cannot describe the great sense of loss we are all feeling at this time. mel was a great man. He Never made anyone feel unwelcome at any time. It has ben my great priviledge to be part of his family and I only hope that we can look back at the good times and smile.

We have known Mel for a number of years through Quinns and as club cyclists with Liverpool Century.

It is hard to talk about Mel in the past tense, but he was a good natured person who was full of fun - always ready to help.

His loss is greatest for his family but Merseyside's cycling community will be a different one without him.

Our thoughts and prayers are with his family.

No need for words!

It is difficult to put into words how the sad loss of Mel Vasey has effected the cycling community. Anyone who witnessed the tremendous turnout of grief stricken friends at his funeral on Tuesday would have realised that some times there is simply no need for words. As Mel's life-long friend, I would like to thank every one who attended his funeral for such an open display of love and respect for one of the finest men it has been my honour and privelege to have known him It is difficult to put into words how the sad loss of Mel Vasey has effected the cycling community.
